What do you need ?

I have put this page together just to help people understand what is needed to take part in UWCB White Collar boxing...Obviously you do need to purchase some equipment, but even knowing how to wrap your hands for your first glove session is something that will come in useful...

You will need the following equipment

16 oz boxing gloves

 - for sparring / bag work and the fight at the end -
(These can be purchased from Sports direct, a good pair for around £40)

Hand Wraps

 - Used to wrap your hands and protect them from injuries -
(Buy them from UWCB or just get a cheap set from somewhere like sports direct, cost £3.99)

Gum Shield

 - This is a must have for sparring and you will use it on the night -
(Sports direct sell cheap mold-able ones for a few pounds)

Listed above is the must haves, but you may also want to get the following if you have the spare money to buy them.

Boxing boots

- Boots especially made for comfort and flexibility in the ring -
(I think that I paid around £15 from Sports Direct)

Boxing Shorts

- Buy them in blue or red depending on your team -
(Again around £6 on Sports direct, but leave getting them till the end of training)
